What's new in Real Estate Marketing?

Read the latest from my completeREsources blog...

Almost 80% of buyers turn to the Internet to seek out their new home.  On average, each will personally view about 9 properties before making the decision to purchase.  As a Real Estate professional, it is in your best interest to cut that number in half, increasing your odds of being at the top of that list.

What Do Sellers Expect From Their Agents In a Real Estate Market "Softening?"

A quick and basic "Google" search led me to find that, in a market cooling, much is expected of an agent when it comes to marketing. Such a market is actually a chance for top-notch Realtors to shine.  As the market turns, every party involved in the sales process must work harder to earn and maintain the trust of their sellers.

"Is it worth it to hire a full-service real estate brokerage over a discount service? Reasonable question. It's one I hear often. And the answer is it depends.

Full-Service Real Estate Brokers and Agents
If you are represented by an agent, ask about a direct mail program. I prefer oversized four-color postcards because they are inexpensive to mail and eye-catching....good marketing can bring higher prices and, in buyer's markets, it could mean the difference between sold or expired. Good marketing might not sell your house, but it will make the phone ring. Because if buyers don't call, you won't sell.

Home Marketing Tips
"When you first list your home many agents send "announcements" to all of the other houses in your neighborhood. This can be done in the form of postcards, a letter, or flyers left hanging on the front door. These are important because your neighbors might have friends who are looking to buy a house."
